10 YEARS OLD BOY WHO STOLE FOWL. (PICTURES)

A boy who stole a fowl was caught and the drama began.  "why did you steal the fowl" said a very angry woman. And the boy started crying that he wanted to give it to his mom to use it prepare food since her mom said she didn't have money to prepare food for the festive period. His mom came and started begging but the angry women turned a deaf here and did this to the boy.
My question is that is this justice or was it too harsh on the little boy?
